Dr Sonia Thew
Dr Sonia Thew is a general practitioner with a strong interest in holistic, patient-centred care across all stages of life. She likes rural areas and has worked in communities in Australia, the United States and Pakistan, bringing a broad perspective to her clinical practice. After time away from paid work to support her family, Sonia returned to the workforce as a medical educator at CSU School of Rural Medicine and a mental health advocate under NSW Ministry of Health programs. She has recently returned to clinical practice, looking to integrate these diverse experiences and work with patients to meet their health care needs.
Sonia enjoys keeping up with family and friends locally and around the world. Wrestling the weeds in her garden or finding a few minutes to read from her ever-expanding book list are welcome breaks from other activities.
