Sport and Exercise Physician Registrar
Dr Scott Janes is a registrar with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. Scott grew up on the Central Coast of NSW and, pursuing interests in musculoskeletal health and sport, began studying Physiotherapy, before transferring to a Bachelor of Medicine at the School of Rural Medicine in Armidale. After graduation, he commenced his medical career on the Central Coast in 2015.
Scott moved to Darwin in 2017 in search of experience and adventure and spent the next several years in the surgical department at Royal Darwin Hospital. During his time there he found a way to combine his lifelong passions for sport, healthcare, and fitness, acting as club doctor for the Northern Territory AFL academy. This launched a career in sport and exercise medicine. He now lives in Sydney where he enjoys caring for patients with musculoskeletal injuries, working with professional sporting teams, and utilising physical activity to help patients with the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions so common in modern Western societies.
Scott regularly plays soccer and golf and is often found in his local gym. He attends the Antiochian Orthodox Church. He met his wife Lauren in Darwin, and they were married in 2020. In his free time, he enjoys camping, playing music, reading, and having a good coffee with great friends.
Dr Chirangi Egodage is a highly skilled medical professional with a diverse background in both military and civilian healthcare.
She began her career in Sri Lanka, serving as a civil Navy doctor for over 10 years. During her time with the Navy, Dr Egodage was dedicated to managing the chronic medical conditions of naval personnel and their families. Her commitment to comprehensive care extended beyond general medicine, as she developed a particular interest in women’s health and pediatric care, ensuring the well-being of women and children under her care.
Following her distinguished naval career, Dr Egodage moved to Australia, where she continued to expand her medical practice expertise. Most recently, she has been working at Campbelltown Hospital in Sydney as an Emergency Medical Registrar for the past two years. In this role, she has honed her skills in emergency medicine, providing critical care to patients in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Dr Egodage’s extensive experience in both emergency and chronic care settings, combined with her passion for women’s and children’s health, makes her a valuable asset to the medical community. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and is known for her compassionate approach and dedication to her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Dr Egodage enjoys spending time with her family and engaging in community health initiatives.
Dr. Thilini Kaluarachchi is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner at our practice, bringing a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to patient care.
Graduate from Sri Lanka, where she worked extensively as a GP, developing a robust foundation in various aspects of general practice. Upon relocating to Australia in 2019, she broadened her expertise by serving as a hospital doctor across multiple specialties. This diverse clinical background has equipped her with comprehensive skills and a deep understanding of holistic patient care.
Dr. Kaluarachchi is particularly passionate about holistic care, emphasizing the importance of treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms. She believes in a patient-centered approach, considering all factors that impact health and well-being. Her special interests lie in chronic disease management, women’s health, and child health, where she aims to make a significant difference in her patients’ lives through attentive, personalized care.
Now based in Orange, NSW, Dr. Kaluarachchi is excited to serve the local community, offering her expertise and compassionate care to patients of all ages. She is committed to building lasting relationships with her patients, helping them achieve optimal health and wellness.

Dr. Anupa Karunagoda is a committed General Practitioner, offering comprehensive healthcare with a genuine passion for healing. Originally from Sri Lanka, Dr. Karunagoda earned his medical degree in 2012 and began his career as a General Practitioner in his home country. Here, he gained invaluable experience in primary care and family medicine, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavours.
In 2019, Dr. Karunagoda made the transition to Australia, where he initially served as an emergency doctor in Sydney. However, driven by his unwavering commitment to holistic patient care, he eventually found his calling as a GP in Orange, NSW. This shift allowed him to seamlessly blend his expertise in primary care with his diverse clinical background, a role he cherishes deeply.

Dr. Mark Kohout is a dedicated qualified plastic surgeon based in central Sydney with over 20 years of experience in the cosmetic field. After graduating from medicine at UNSW with honours, Dr Wong completed neurosurgical training at multiple prestigious hospitals in Sydney, including Prince of Wales, Macquarie University, Royal Prince Alfred and St Vincent’s Hospitals. This culminated in the award of FRACS in Neurosurgery in 2014. Following this, Dr Wong completed two subspecialty fellowships in North America with the support of separate travel scholarships from Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He underwent a 1-year open cerebrovascular and skull base fellowship at University of Toronto, and a 2-year endovascular and interventional neuroradiology fellowship at Stanford University.
During his neurosurgical training, Dr Wong completed a Masters degree in clinical epidemiology at University of Sydney in 2009, and a PhD degree at Macquarie University for research on spinal cord injury and spinal cord cysts (syringomyelia) in 2014. His research on syringomyelia received several awards, including Peter Leech Memorial Prize in 2012, and Macquarie University Research Excellence Award in 2013.
While Dr Wong has interests in cerebrovascular and brain tumours, he assesses and manages all neurosurgical conditions, including cerebrospinal fluid disorders, spinal conditions and peripheral nerve disorders. His practice is named Eminence Neurosurgery, which incorporates his interests in neurosurgery: Applying Endoscopic and MINimally-invasive approaches to all neurosurgical conditions, and expertise in ENdovascular and CErebrovascular neurosurgery.
